A Season-Best Effort from David Baines Leads Westbury over Spring Woods
On Friday, Westbury got the W thanks in part to David Baines playing the best football he has all season. Baines rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
For the season, Baines has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 70.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to six.
