Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gloucester). They never let the Winthrop Vikings get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The Fishermen's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Gloucester pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Winthrop, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gloucester will venture away from home to square off against Salem at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Winthrop, they will head out to face off against Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
