Softball Game Preview: Northeast Vikings vs. Nueva Esperanza

After both having extra time off, the Northeast Vikings and Nueva Esperanza will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Thursday, Northeast got the win against Carver High School of Engineering & Science by a conclusive 16-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Nueva Esperanza had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the KENSINGTON TIGER. The match marked Nueva Esperanza's most dominant win of the season so far.

Northeast's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Nueva Esperanza, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
