Volleyball Recap: Flandreau Takes a Loss

Flandreau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Deubrook Dolphins. If the Fliers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dolphins when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Flandreau ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Hannah Krull and Aly Schepel, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Nora Hamilton and her 30 assists. Finally, Krull was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Flandreau's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Deubrook, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5.

After both having extra time off, Flandreau and Garretson will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Fliers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Deubrook, they will be playing at home against Great Plains Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
