After a string of four wins, River Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Nature Coast Tech Sharks by a score of 4-3. The Royal Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

River Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy DeLoreto, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. DeLoreto also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

River Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Nature Coast Tech, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, River Ridge and Nature Coast Tech will both be playing Citrus the next time they take the field. River Ridge will head out to face Citrus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Nature Coast Tech will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
