Softball Recap: Etowah Comes Up Short

Etowah came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Ashville Bulldogs. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Etowah's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-10. As for Ashville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

Etowah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-5 defeat against Creek Wood on the 22nd. As for Ashville, they have also already played their next game, a 12-0 loss against Hartselle on the 24th.
