The Stansbury Stallions will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Cyprus Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stansbury is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Monday, everything went Stansbury's way against Clearfield as Stansbury made off with a 15-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.

Stansbury got a massive performance out of Jaxon Adams, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Adams posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kai Astill, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cyprus fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Orem on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4.

Nick Griffel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Cyprus' loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Stansbury, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Stansbury was able to grind out a solid victory over Cyprus when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 7-4. Will Stansbury repeat their success, or does Cyprus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
