Softball Recap: San Dimas Has No Trouble Against San Fernando

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brea Olinda, San Dimas was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the San Fernando Tigers. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Tiffany Villegas was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Audrey Schlim, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Villegas wasn't the only one working in the hit department: San Dimas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. San Dimas is undefeated (2-0) when they post 11 or more hits.

San Dimas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. San Fernando's loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, San Dimas will take on Cabrillo at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for San Fernando, they will square off against Paramount at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
