Basketball Recap: Rutland Comes Up Short

Rutland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 52-43 to the Callaway Cavaliers.

Callaway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aj Williams, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 16 points. Bryceton Sanders was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Callaway, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-11.

Rutland has already played their next matchup (against Pike County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Callaway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-39 loss against Morgan County on the 17th.
