Berean Academy strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 53-14 victory over Skyline - Gila River. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Skyline - Gila River, too.

PRESTON SCHERRER was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 122 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 55 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was JOHNNY TORRES, who rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Berean Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 257 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Berean Academy's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece.

Berean Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Skyline - Gila River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
