Soccer Game Preview: Munford vs. Brighton

The Munford Cougars will challenge the Brighton Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Munford is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Munford's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Covington 9-0. Munford might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brighton walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Trojans on Tuesday. Brighton better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Jayden Edwards, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Brighton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those nine contests. As for Munford, they pushed their record up to 9-4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
