Evergreen Valley proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Del Mar Dons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since March 25th.

Evergreen Valley now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Del Mar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Evergreen Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Del Mar will face off against rival Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
