Baseball Recap: Sullivan County Takes a Loss

Sullivan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cowanesque Valley Indians.

Cole Barto was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Bagley, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.

Sullivan County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cowanesque Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Sullivan County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 27-11 defeat against Neumann Regional Academy on the 22nd. As for Cowanesque Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 7-5 win against Wellsboro on the 21st.
