The Torres Toros will be taking part in a tournament against the El Capitan Gauchos at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Torres lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fresno, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Toros blew past the Warriors 19-3 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Olivea Luna looked comfortable as she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Ariana Garcia was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Jazmin Gonzalez was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Torres always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fresno only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, El Capitan put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over Weston Ranch. While the Gauchos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Ellery Hunter made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Hunter was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.
El Capitan's record now sits at 5-0. As for Torres, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Torres has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. However, it's not like El Capitan struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
