After losing to Mescalero Apache the last time they met, Capitan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Capitan Tigers managed a 44-40 victory over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs on Tuesday.

Capitan's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13. As for Mescalero Apache, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

When Capitan and Mescalero Apache next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Capitan will challenge Mesilla Valley Christian School and their six-game winning streak at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mescalero Apache will try to stop Lordsburg's three-game winning streak when the meet at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
