Adair County entered their tilt with Taylor County on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They managed a 69-64 win over the Taylor County Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 87-55 back in December of 2024.

Adair County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Loy, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine assists. Loy is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Cochran, who went 9 for 13 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds.

Adair County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points per game. As for Taylor County, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 14-4 record.

Adair County and Taylor County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Adair County (ranked 24th) will meet Metcalfe County (ranked 175th) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Adair County will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Taylor County will challenge Campbellsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday up 175 places (33 vs. 208). Adair County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 75.4 points per game this season.
