Volleyball Game Preview: Winston Salem Christian Lions vs. Calvary Day School Cougars

The Winston Salem Christian Lions will head out on the road to take on the Calvary Day School Cougars at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a proper cat-fight when Winston Salem Christian faced off against High Point Christian Academy on Thursday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

The final score came out to 25-11, 19-25, 25-12, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Calvary Day School didn't have quite enough to beat Greensboro on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Calvary Day School took Greensboro into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-20, 25-18, 17-25, 15-13.

Winston Salem Christian now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Calvary Day School, they dropped their record down to 14-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Winston Salem Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Calvary Day School in their previous matchup back in August of 2022. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
