Basketball Recap: Seacrest Country Day Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Seacrest Country Day extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Fedor Vuksanovic. The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays greeted the New Year with with a 72-53 win over the Estero Wildcats thanks in part to Vuksanovic, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Bates, who posted eight points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played.

Estero's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Ashton Peterson and Xavier Stohl. Peterson put up 13 points, while Stohl posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Lasalle, who earned eight points.

Seacrest Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Estero, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Seacrest Country Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-62 victory against Southwest Florida Christian on the 3rd. As for Estero, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-62 win against East Lee County on the 3rd.
