What if there were no Regional Bowl Games in California?

We've talked the last month or so about the Regional Football Championship Bowl Games — the new system the CIF put into place this season.

The Regional Games have been a great addition as the state gets closer to a more traditional state championship bracket.

To put this into perspective, here, in one person's opinion, would have been the matchups this weekend in Carson if there were no Regional Bowl Games.

Open Division final

North: De La Salle (Concord), 13-0
South: Narbonne (Harbor City), 14-0

Division I final

North: Folsom, 14-0
South: Centennial (Corona), 13-1

Division II final

North: Clayton Valley (Concord), 12-1
South: Edison (Huntington Beach), 13-1



Division III final

North: Marin Catholic (Kentfield), 13-1
South: Madison (San Diego,), 12-1

Division IV final

North: Central Catholic (Modesto), 12-2
South: Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia), 12-1

Division I final: Long Beach Poly (Long Beach) vs. Granite Bay

Division II final: Oakdale vs. Serra (Gardena)
