Basketball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

Capital lost against George Washington back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Capital Cougars had to suffer through a 68-41 loss at the hands of the George Washington Patriots. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Capital and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for George Washington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Capital will be playing at home against St. Albans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Albans knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Capital likes a good challenge. As for George Washington, they will head out to challenge Parkersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parkersburg will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something George Washington surely won't give up without a fight.
