 After a string of seven wins, Lawrenceburg's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They fell just short of the Connersville Spartans by a score of  5-3. Lawrenceburg has not had much luck with Connersville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Caden Baker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.
 Even though they lost, Lawrenceburg was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with three  doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Connersville didn't  hit any.
 On Connersville's side,  Parker Flanigan was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Lawrenceburg's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Connersville, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season.
 Lawrenceburg will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Connersville at 5:30  p.m. As for Connersville, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Batesville at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Batesville is coming into the  game with three straight  victories at home,  so Connersville will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
