Basketball Recap: Vance County Piles Up the Points Against J.F. Webb

Vance County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 60-32 victory over the J.F. Webb Warriors. The Vipers pushed the score to 49-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vance County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Destiny Timberlake, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Da'Shunti Hester, who put up 11 points.

Vance County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for J.F. Webb, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6-1 record this season.

Vance County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-35 defeat against Carrboro on the 31st. J.F. Webb has also already played their next game, a 39-38 loss against South Granville on the 31st.
