Notre Dame Academy skates past St. Edmund Prep with ease

Recap: Notre Dame Academy Gators vs. St. Edmund Prep Eagles

The Notre Dame Academy Gators had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They blew past St. Edmund Prep 51-22 at home. The result was nothing new for Notre Dame Academy, who have now won six matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Leading Notre Dame Academy to victory were Sabrina Kraker and Giuliana Dito. Kraker scored eight points, while Dito scored eight points along with five steals. Kraker is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Caroline Kasegrande, who scored nine points.

Notre Dame Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for St. Edmund Prep, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Notre Dame Academy will head out on the road to face off against Moore Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moore Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Notre Dame Academy likes a good challenge. As for St. Edmund Prep, they will be playing at home against Maria Regina at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
