Basketball Recap: Shenendehowa Takes a Loss

Shenendehowa lost against Christian Brothers Academy back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The contest between the Shenendehowa Plainsmen and the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers didn't end well, with the Shenendehowa Plainsmen falling 60-44. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Plainsmen came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Brothers are ranked 67th).

Christian Brothers Academy found their leader in sophomore Jj Osinski, who went 9-for-15 en route to 28 points and eight boards. Osinski's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Austin Osinski was another key player, putting up eight points.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 18-2. As for Christian Brothers Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Shenendehowa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Brothers Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-47 win against Bethlehem Central on the 17th.
