The Franklin Central Flashes will head out to square off against the Noblesville Millers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Franklin Central took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over Edwardsburg. That looming 19-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Flashes yet this season.

Ava Fowler and Adelaide Hubbard did most of the damage at the plate: Fowler went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Hubbard went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Fowler continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Maddie Baker also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Noblesville put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Harrison a 5-0 shutout.
Not much got past Addison Retzinger, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Harrison off the board. Retzinger has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nevaeh Nash, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Reese Newsom was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Noblesville pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Franklin Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Franklin Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Noblesville struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Franklin Central might still be hurting after the 10-1 defeat they got from Noblesville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Flashes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
