Volleyball Recap: Durfee Comes Up Short

Durfee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the New Bedford Whalers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Whalers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-6, 25-12.

Frank Pichardo paced Durfee's offense, picking up four kills. Pichardo got some help from Victor Cardoso and his four assists.

Durfee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for New Bedford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Durfee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Scituate on the 5th. As for New Bedford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Barnstable on the 5th.
