Basketball Recap: Wheatley Takes a Loss

Wheatley played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Carle Place Frogs, falling 46-24. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Frogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-40 back in December of 2025.

Carle Place's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Reedy led the charge by putting up seven points along with 11 boards and five assists. Alexa Mifsud was another key player, posting nine points.

Wheatley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carle Place, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Wheatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carle Place, they will challenge East Rockaway at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
