Basketball Recap: Nicky Sanchez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grandfalls-Royalty over Sanderson

Grandfalls-Royalty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 46-31 fall against the Sanderson Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-41 on January 10th.

Grandfalls-Royalty's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicky Sanchez, who posted eight points. Aiden Dominguez was another key player, putting up seven points.

Grandfalls-Royalty's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sanderson, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
