The Dymally Challengers are taking a road trip to face off against the George Washington Prep Generals at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Dymally will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
While Dymally's win against Hawkins wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Challengers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-16 victory over the Hawks on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Danah Albarran, who fired off two home runs, two doubles, and one triple while going 5-for-5. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rihanna Ruiz, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with two triples and one double.
Meanwhile, George Washington Prep got the win against Crenshaw on Wednesday by a conclusive 27-12. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 11 runs or more this season.
Aracely Gonzalez was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off five hits. Gonzalez was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, George Washington Prep let Katherine Franco and Emily Varela run wild. Franco went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs, while Varela went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Varela has posted since back in March. Teaka Evans was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
George Washington Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in four consecutive contests.
George Washington Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Dymally, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dymally hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .461. However, it's not like George Washington Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dymally came up short against George Washington Prep in their previous matchup back in April, falling 23-20. Can the Challengers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
