Basketball Game Preview: East Burke Cavaliers vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets

The East Burke Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with East Burke sitting on 18 straight victories and Forest Hills on nine.

East Burke is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took down Lexington 69-51. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Forest Hills made off with a 55-54 win over Bandys.

East Burke's victory was their 18th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points over those games. As for Forest Hills, their win bumped their record up to 26-3.
