Basketball Recap: Lakeland Christian Vikings vs. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lakeland Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers 67-13 on Friday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Vikings, who until this match were averaging 29 points allowed.
Rudi Jessee was Lakeland Christian's leading scorer, having posted four points. Jessee also led the team in assists with two. Kiya Boyce held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
Leila Bryant was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-15 to rack up 21 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.
