Softball Recap: High Point Comes Up Short

High Point entered their game against Randolph on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wildcats lost 14-7 to the Rams. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Daphne Mathews was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Karli Matthews was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

High Point's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Randolph, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, High Point will host West Milford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Randolph, they will challenge Hunterdon Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
