Volleyball Recap: Crestwood Comes Up Short

Crestwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Garfield G-Men, falling 3-0. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the G-Men apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-12.

ABBY HAYES paced Crestwood's offense, picking up six kills. HAYES got some help from REESE HARPER and her eight assists. Finally, HARPER was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Garfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Crestwood will square off against Lincoln West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Garfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
