Baseball Recap: Wausau West's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Wausau West's victory against Marshfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Sillars, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Keegan Kruzan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Wausau West's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Marshfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
