Baseball Recap: Plainview's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Plainview was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Dickson on Monday. Plainview put the hurt on Dickson with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Plainview let Devyn Anderson and Brylan Anderson run wild. Devyn went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI, while Brylan scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Brylan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Dickerson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Plainview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dickson only posted an OBP of .214.

Plainview's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Dickson, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainview will host Newcastle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newcastle's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Plainview's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dickson, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ardmore at 5:00 p.m.
