McAlester had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Grove Ridgerunners. Three seems to be a good number for the Buffaloes as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

McAlester's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McAlester will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Poteau at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th. Grove also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Tahlequah at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
