After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Elgin brought some dynamite into their most recent match. Their defense stepped up to hand the Altus Bulldogs a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. Elgin haven't had any issues with Altus recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The victory got Elgin back to even at 8-8. As for Altus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
