Mountain View took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Flippin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bobcats on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in March, they had to take a 18-3 defeat.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Flippin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

The future could be bright for both Mountain View and Flippin: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Yellowjackets will look to extend Marshall's four-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Flippin will try to hand Omaha their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
