Football Recap: Heartland Huskies vs. McCool Junction Mustangs
Heartland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the McCool Junction Mustangs on the road and fell 52-6. The Huskies lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 36-24 score last time.

Heartland will host East Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Butler is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Heartland will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for McCool Junction, it'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when Mustangs takes on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. They are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.7 points per game this season.
