Soccer Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Cypress Woods

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Woods). They never let the Cypress Springs Panthers onto the board and left with a 9-0 win on Tuesday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Panthers are ranked 591st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cypress Woods' offense was hitting Cypress Springs from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Camila Carrasco led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests.
