Volleyball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Snake River

Highland faced Snake River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rams fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Rams' undefeated start to the season.

Kennedi Winder paced Highland's offense, picking up 13 kills. Winder got some help from Jaycie Homer and her 18 assists. Brinley Homer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Snake River was led to victory by Whitney Edlefsen and Emma Cook. Edlefsen had 15 digs and one assist, while Cook had 11 digs. Those 15 digs gave Edlefsen a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Highland fell to 3-1. As for Snake River, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Middleton on the 23rd. As for Snake River, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Rigby on the 23rd.
