Basketball Recap: Wisner-Pilger Takes a Loss

Wisner-Pilger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs, falling 61-23. The game marked the Gators' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Owen Kurtenbach was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 17 on his way to 24 points for Humphrey-Lindsay. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Hastreiter, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Wisner-Pilger's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Wisner-Pilger will square off against Howells-Dodge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Howells-Dodge will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wisner-Pilger surely won't give up without a fight. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, they will welcome Neligh-Oakdale on Thursday. Humphrey-Lindsay is facing Neligh-Oakdale at the right time seeing as Neligh-Oakdale is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
