Baseball Recap: Lafayette County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lafayette County duked it out with Taylor on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 18-3 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-0 on April 1st.

Tristian Knighton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Lafayette County's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Taylor, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Lafayette County will venture away from home to face off against Nevada at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taylor, they will host Columbia Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
