Softball Game Preview: Oregon Panthers vs. Beaver Dam Golden Beavers

The Oregon Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oregon will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Oregon had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Waunakee on Monday. The Panthers blew past the Warriors 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Beaver Dam came up short against Milton on Monday and fell 6-2. The Golden Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oregon's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Beaver Dam, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Oregon was able to grind out a solid victory over Beaver Dam in their previous matchup back in April, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
