Volleyball Recap: Thornwell Has No Trouble Against Mccormick

Thornwell won the last time they faced McCormick and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Saints put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Thornwell never let McCormick on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 28-26.

Thornwell found their leader in freshman Chloe Wilson, who had seven aces.

Thornwell was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Thornwell now has a winning record of 4-3. As for McCormick, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Thornwell will venture away from home to take on Calhoun Falls Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCormick has already played their next contest (against Ridge Spring-Monetta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
