Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Sierra Anderson stepped things up a notch to give Coal City the 'W'. Anderson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The performance marked the most hits she has had since back in May of 2024.

Anderson's strong effort led Coal City over Reed-Custer and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coalers are 9-1 against the Comets going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
