Soccer Game Preview: Green Hill vs. Beech

The Green Hill Hawks will square off against the Beech Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Hill will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Green Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Dickson County last Sunday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Green Hill hit Dickson County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carter Foust (2), Holdon Dalton, Ayden Webster, and Anthony Macario Miguel.

Meanwhile, Beech managed to keep up with Hardin Valley Academy until halftime on Sunday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Buccaneers lost 4-1 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, Beech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Hardin Valley Academy are ranked 15th).

Green Hill's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Beech, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4-2.

Green Hill suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Beech when the teams last played back in March of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Hawks were down 4-1.
