Softball Recap: Wilcox RVT's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Wilcox RVT strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Wolcott RVT 15-0. Wilcox RVT might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Chloe Enger made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Wilcox RVT got a massive performance out of Gabby Velez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Velez has launched this season. Katelyn Ouellette was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Wilcox RVT hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wolcott RVT struck out 15 times.

Wilcox RVT pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Wolcott RVT, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
