Volleyball Recap: Etowah Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Etowah came out on top against North Cobb Christian by a score of 2-0. This was payback for Etowah, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22.

Kyleigh White paced Etowah's offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Kayla Harman and her eight assists. White was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, North Cobb Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryan Chesser had ten digs and five assists.

Etowah is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for North Cobb Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-13.

Coincidentally, Etowah and North Cobb Christian will both be playing Marist the next time they take the court. Etowah will head out to face Marist at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while North Cobb Christian will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
