Preview: Hathaway Hornets vs. Jennings Bulldogs
The Hathaway Hornets will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Jennings Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hathaway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Jennings is ranked 29th).
Last Thursday, Hathaway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Westlake.
Jennings has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. Their tough 54-33 defeat to Delhi on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Jennings was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Hathaway bumped their record down to 6-17 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Jennings, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Hathaway couldn't quite finish off Jennings in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 58-56. Can Hathaway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
